Shane Hastie joined ICAgile in 2017 as the Director of Agile Learning Programs. He has oversight in the strategic direction and expansion of ICAgile’s learning programs, including maintaining and extending ICAgile’s learning objectives, providing thought leadership and collaborating with industry experts, and supporting the larger ICAgile community, which includes more than 100 Member Organizations and over 65000 ICAgile certification holders.
Over the last 30+ years Shane has been a practitioner and leader of developers, testers, trainers, project managers and business analysts, helping teams to deliver results that align with overall business objectives. He spent 15 years as a professional trainer and consultant specialising in Agile practices, business analysis, project management, requirements, testing and methodologies for SoftEd in Australia, New Zealand and around the world.
Not only does Shane have a wealth of practical experience, he also has an impressive range of qualifications. He holds a Masters degree in Information Management (MIM), is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), is ISTQB Foundation certified (CTFL), and is also a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) and an ICAgile Certified Expert in Business Product Ownership (ICE-PO).
Over and above his many and varied training and consulting activities, Shane is also active within the Business Analysis and Agile communities. He is a member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®), and was a board member of the Agile Alliance from 2011 until 2016. Most recently he has brought his passion for all things Agile to his involvement in the IIBA® working group which created the Agile extension to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®) and was part of the Core Team who produced Version 3.0 of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®). He was a reviewer for the PMI-PBA Business Analysis Practice Guide.
